Why do we need parking area management in Gurgl?

The traffic volume within Ötztal is steadily increasing from year to year. In order to counteract this trend and make a contribution to the mobility transition, parking area management was introduced. It is intended to reduce non-essential private transport by promoting the use of public transport lines at the same time. By the way: thanks to the Guest Card available for free you enjoy free use of public bus lines in winter (October to May) which run every half hour throughout Ötztal. Part of the income from parking area management is reinvested directly in valley-wide public transport to further improve and expand it in the near future. Together we can achieve the mobility transition and thus protect the climate – thank you for your help!
