Geocaching
A modern-style paperchase
Geocaching can be explained quite simply: using GPS coordinates, you go in search of hidden treasures, so-called geocaches. The digital paperchase is very popular worldwide. This very special leisure activity can also be enjoyed in the mountains of Ötztal. The treasure hunter sets off into the terrain of Obergurgl-Hochgurgl even without a GPS device, equipped only with a printed map. An exciting alternative or good addition to “hiking” the region.
