Ötztal Nature Park

Become one with yourself and enjoy untouched nature. The Ötztal Nature Park includes several reserves in the region. Its highest point is the Ötztaler Wildspitze at 3,774 metres above sea level. You can actively experience nature in Tyrol and see real rarities all year round, such as the impressive Swiss stone pine forest which is a natural monument. The Rotmoostal, the Wurmkogl, the lake district and the Ramolhaus in Gurgl are also located in the Ötztal Nature Park conservation area.

In the Ötztal Nature Park, you can truly relax while you let your mind wander. If you’re into hiking, you’ll enjoy the many extraordinary vantage points here. Biking, snowshoeing, winter hiking, or ski touring are also possible. Note: For certain activities, booking a guide makes sense.
Hohe Mut Nature Park Infopoint
Get educated on the Alpine landscapes. At the 13m² Hohe Mut Infopoint, you can view exhibits on the local flora and fauna and learn interesting facts about the diversity of the Obergurgl stones. You can even feel a real glacier ice up close.
