The ski resort at a glance

The Gurgl ski resort comprises two separate ski areas: Obergurgl and Hochgurgl, each of which offers roughly 56 kilometers of slopes. The “Top Express” connects both resorts via a 3.6 km panoramic route over the Königstal and Ferwalltal valleys in just 9 minutes.

Slope tips

  • Beginners: You will quickly gain confidence on the flat slopes of Gaisberg (slope 6), the practice and Mahdstuhl lifts (slope 15), and the many blue slopes in Hochgurgl.

  • Advanced skiers: The intermediate slopes on the Festkogl (slope 6A/6 & 12) in Obergurgl and the Schermerspitze descent (slope 30) in Hochgurgl are great fun for those with more carving practice.

  • The longest descent: Wurmkogl – Obergurgl/Pill (8km long, 1,260m difference in altitude). Slopes: 29, 26, 24, 32, 33.

Hardest descents:

  • Obergurgl: From the Hohe Mut Alm to the Gaisberg (slope 1), mogul slope (ski route 1A)
  • Hochgurgl: From the Top Mountain Star to the Wurmkogl middle station, steep! (slope 28)
