The impressive Tschirgant mountain range is a highlight for every hiker. The destination of this tour, the `Haiminger Kreuz`, lies east of the Tschirgant. At the north side of the mountain in Strad the tour starts. With the mountain bike you will have to climb a 9 km long, consistently steep 1000 hm, forest road. Shortly before the Haiminger Alm (1786 m) the path flattens out and you can relax a bit until you finally reach the idyllic and beautifully situated mountain hut. This is the final stop for the bike. Make sure when locking the bike that no path is blocked. After a refreshing stopover in the hut, the tour continues by foot. In between mountain pines, the first part of the hike is a little steeper until you reach a more pleasant crossing on the ridge with impressive panoramas. The last part up to the summit becomes again steeper and more exposed. Once at the top, you can enjoy the wonderful view over the Inn Valley and into the Ötztal until Timmelsjoch.

Equipment
We recommend wearing protective bike gear (elbow pads, knee pads, helmet, back protector, etc.) on all mountain bike routes. Make sure that you only use a bike that meets today's quality standards. On Bike & Hike tours, we always recommend taking a lock with you. For hiking wear appropriate equipment, such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing. Ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, a hat and possibly gloves are required for all hikes and tours. It is necessary to take a first-aid kit, a mobile phone and possibly a hiking map with you, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without the possibility to stop for refreshments.
