The start of this wonderful hike takes place in the Längenfelder district Lehn. The ascent takes place via a path which leads through dense forest steadily upwards. From time to time you can catch a glimpse of the Lehner waterfall. Except for a section which leads over a well secured stone slab you walk on forest floor. After about 2 hours walking you reach the tree line and the Stabelealm comes into view. The turnoff to this hut is on the right and continues through lush green meadows towards Innerbergalm. After a short refreshment, continue along the Hauerkamm towards Hauersee. After some flatter and steeper passages in this Kar, one reaches the Hauersee which shimmers milky green to turquoise blue depending on the season. Surrounded by the so-called Fünffingerspitzen you can once again briefly enjoy the pleasant tranquility of the 2300 vertical meters before you begin the descent.
