The Söldenkogel is Sölden's local mountain and is accessible in both summer and winter.

Furthermore, the Söldenkogel is one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in Sölden, even though it is not quite one of the 3000m.

The view from the Söldenkogl down to Sölden and the amazing view of the peaks of the Ötztaler Alps rewards the strenuous ascent.

The ascent can be shortened by taking a taxi to the Kleble Alm or Fiegl's Gasthaus.

    Walking time:

    • from Kleble-Alm (1,983 m): 3 hours, return 2 hours
    • from Fiegls Gasthaus (1,956 m): 3 hours, return 2.5 hours

    Author’s recommendation

The hut taxi takes you directly to the Kleble Alm (the starting point of the hike).

    Turn-by-turn directions

With the hut taxi you are able to reach the Kleble Alm comfortably.

From there, a narrow hiking trail leads through the forest to the tree line. Her you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Windachtal.

Continue on the path to the crossroads, where you get to a very small lake. From the intersection it goes steadily uphill.

First over mountainsides and then over rubble.

The last stretch to the summit leads over rocky stones.

The descent is via the same route (2 hours) or to Fiegl's Gasthaus (2.5 hours).
