Current awards
The Gurgl ski resort stands for top quality and maximum skiing pleasure. Promises that can be accounted for by our numerous awards that underline excellence in slope preparation, snow reliability, and comfort.
Snowmaking systems
When it comes to snowmaking, the Obergurgl and Hochgurgl lift companies have been showing their green thumb for many years. Thanks to fully computerized snowmaking, the automated systems react to temperature and humidity. Five weather stations in the ski resort provide detailed information on conditions. The energy required is obtained from green electricity. The water used comes from five reservoirs and reaches the slopes as UV-irradiated, sterilized drinking water in the form of snow.
