From the center of Obergurgl north to Pirchhütter Achbrücke. Crossing Gurgler Ache brook, the hiking trail runs steeply on the valley's wester side up to the lake area. At the fork-off below Soomsee lake, continue out of the valley towards Nedersee lake. From the northern lakeshore you descend to Lenzenalm and further on to the main road. (Back to Obergurgl with the bus - runs every 30 minutes).

From the Nedersee junction you can walk to Soomsee in a few minutes, and the larger Itlsee in another 30 minutes.
