New Brand Identity

Obergurgl-Hochgurgl becomes Gurgl

The new brand name ensures better readability and advertising appeal.

The new logo forms the main component of the conjoint design line. Obergurgl-Hochgurgl has been operating under the connecting name of Gurgl since May 2019. "Continuous development and further improvement of the public image were the main motives for the rebranding process," informs Lukas Scheiber, marketing responsible of Ötztal Tourismus. The new logo is the central component of the redesigned line. Additionally, a distinctive typeface was created in order to strengthen the unique character of the typographic appearance. Varied font styles promise greater flexibility in the range of applications.

Gradual brand establishment

By changing the name to "Gurgl" also the image brand changed, which is - together with the word brand - an essential part of the brand presence as a design element. All advertising materials that are now coming on the market have already been adapted to the new design. Therefore the establishment of the redesigned appearance takes place gradually and in an uncomplicated way. In addition, the two winter sports stars Fritz Dopfer and Dave Ryding wear the redesigned Ötztal/Gurgl logo on their helmets by considerably increasing the level of brand awareness.
